The Third City Project promotes the well-being of people and communities impacted by the criminal legal system by shining a light on health data behind the walls. They advocate for data transparency and ethical healthcare policies grounded in science. Originally titled the Covid Prison Project, KERTIS worked with CPP to develop a striking new brand identity and name, as well as provide the tools and products necessary to shift them towards a more narrative-based execution of their current data work. Concurrently, through design and storytelling, we helped them envision what a new website could look and feel like, as well as how it might accomplish the work of decarceration and provide a glimpse of a less punitive and more restorative justice.
