Cropped Out is a music festival that assembles musicians, artists, and weirdos for one weekend in Louisville, KY.

Though the festival is well-attended, little priority has been given to visual documentation. The underground nature of the event has resulted in little coverage, which makes it difficult to advertise and market for future festivals.

Since Cropped Out is such a unique festival, we decided to capture the whole thing through video so that people who didn’t or couldn’t attend could experience the specialness.

The short documentary aired with much enthusiasm, and a local dive bar actually hosted a viewing event around the video. But the major win for the Cropped Out team was having a sought-after Australian group called Feedtime commit to playing the following year after seeing the video.
